Arrived with 2 friends on a Saturday for some brunch. We were told the wait was about 40 minutes, but thankfully we were seated not too long after. Coffee and tea could be ordered while you wait in the meantime. I ordered the Cod Benedict ($20) while my friends had the Steak and Eggs ($20) and one of their omelet specials ($16).
The cod cakes were not filled with too much breading, along with being nice and golden, yet also tender. It was nicely seasoned, yet you still taste the cod in each bite. The touch of cayenne (I think?) gave it a little kick. The hollandaise sauce was also on the lighter side which was a nice touch because the yolks of the poached eggs already adds richness to the dish. The potatoes were nicely roasted, with a added crunch on some of the more golden sides. As for the salad, although nothing too special, it was fresh and added something light to the dish.
As for the other two dishes, I can't say too much for them since I only had a sample of them, but I thought the braised steak was nice if you like something a little heartier. You taste more of the meat flavor to it and sweetness from onions rather than it be masked by various seasonings. As for the omelet, it was light and quite fluffy.
I do recommend people try this spot out for brunch because the food is good in my book! People also rave about the cornmeal pancakes here which I have yet to try, but it's something I've added to my list when I come back. And if you aren't the type to like to wait on places for brunch, they actually serve some of the same items they have on brunch for lunch! (They also take reservations, but NOT for brunch.)
